All right, so here's the skinny:

SEGA's heard all of your pleas for the return of a 2-D Sonic game, and they listened. It's known as Sonic The Hedgehog 4. It's comin out Summer 2010.

Sonic is the only playable character in the game. The newer people aren't even going to be in it. SEGA had already said that before they revealed the name of the game.

Ultimateshadow, unfortunately that's how Nintendo works. But apparently somebody wants Sonic to stay alive, this might help. I mean, look what happened to Mario. Same might sadly happen to Sonic one day. But we can only hope not. It hasn't happened to Samus or Link yet either, but I'm sure it will

Maybe. I outgrew Sonic A LONG time ago when I realised Sonic games were in a sharp decline.
And that most of the characters were poorly designed.
