I'm taking 3 of them, and I'm freaking out. That's a load of crap of work to do.
One of them demands a summer assignment. Another one of them expects you to write 700+ index cards within 7 months (100 cards/month average).
I already retrieved the cards from another person, so I can just paraphrase/recopy them, but that's still cumbersome.
And if you didn't know, the AP curriculum ends at the beginning of May, so it's tightly crammed. If there are snow days or 2 hr delays, you're screwed even further. The good part is you watch movies or do really simple projects for free points (to boost your grade) after the exam ends.
Eeeggghhhh. Summer assgn. ? Haven't had 1 of those since grade school.
What do you hafta write on the index cards? Or is that for the class?

Outside of NG, I'm preparing for a war game with TurtleKirby101 (who you may vaguely remember from AWHILE back) in a different form. It's the same war game that failed on the BBS, and when I tried restarting it on my user page Wade came along and destroyed my news posts, including the planning post (I think chillbro may remember it as the 400,000th news post made on NG).

So I'm restarting that sucker from scratch on that message board (it's in a hidden forum so nobody but TK101 and I can see it). It's almost done, although it's REALLY hard to plan it out. Also TK101 is a procrastinator for he hasn't done crap and I did 100 posts of material (don't you hate it when you work with someone and the other person doesn't do jack shit?)

For AP Psychology you have to write notes about the chapter discussed in class on index cards. They are used to study for tests. The teacher also collects them and checks to see if you have done them. He also does his cruel thing of collect EVERY index card (all 700+) and making sure you didn't lose any. He also marks the cards so that you can't give it to someone else and make them hand it in (which is why I have to recopy it).
I asked one of my friends beforehand if I could have his index cards so that I could recopy them (so I would be ahead of the game). He said yes, and in the library he dumped a giant bag full of them. It weighs like 5 pounds and approximately 700 of them (that's my guess when I stacked some 150 index card packages next to the giant pile).
I know that I'll be procrastinating until the night before 80 index cards are due for the chapter, so I asked for them beforehand. Knowing your weaknesses is a good skill to have.

Cramming is also the equivalent of learning nothing, since all you focus on is writing bullshit on all your assignments just to get the grade and pass. You can't learn in intense pressure.

I have a giant record of procrastination. Even my English paper, which determines if you pass the grade your in or fail and repeat it next year (I know it's retarded) I procrastinated and wrote a bunch of crap. I hate essays so much.

I was talking to Basset yesterday, and I asked for his opinion on this statement:
School grades measure how much shit you can shove into your brain and keep it there for a short period of time until the test passes. (In other words, they test how good of a memory you have.) They do not measure intelligence, since everybody forgets everything they studied after the test.

I agree, especially since a lot of subjects involve cramming mostly. Science and Math are exceptions; I agree too. Forensics involves careful examination and Mathematics are just a bitch to handle.

I myself don't have anything better to do, but it's better than coming here every single day and letting my eyes burn for 10 hours. Now I spend no more than 10 minutes on NG per day (most days is 0).
