Also here's a drive that costs $90:

http://www.staples.com/Seagate-FreeAg ent-GoFlex-500GB-Ultra-Portable-Hard-
Drive-USB-2.0-(Black)/product_867056

YET the other drive (first link in above comment) costs $70, AND utilizes the faster USB 3.0 (this one is $90 and uses the slower USB 2.0).

My brain just exploded.

Staples gave us both a Mind F*ck. @__@

Welcome to America.

On that note, when I had the Gamecube, I tried getting a memory card. Blockbuster (remember that store?) sold a 256 block for $20. EB Games (also remember that?) sold a 1024 block for $16.

......

I have to order that hard drive fast. There's no doubt it's a steal. One drive I looked at 2 weeks ago went out of stock, so I bet this will be next.

Where it's a country full of Racist jokes and beer. A paradise. Lol.

Yeah, I 'member Blockbuster. There was 1 on the Main street by me. Eb Games: not so much.

Better hurry.

On that mindfuck note, there's a silver-colored hard drive that's the exact same as the black but costs $30 more.

Just wow.

What?! O__O'

Blockbuster is still around. You said it like it had been closed down.

Hollywood Video was the place that closed down.

It's nowhere near us. We meant it like that.

Blockbuster will die completely one day, with Netflix growing big. Hell I bet even cable and satellite will die, since customers are sick of paying ripoff payments to greedy companies. My family paid $240 for FiOS when the contract ended. We canceled it.

On the hard drive note, I found a 1 TB for $80. That's a huge bargain if you ask me. Instead of paying $70 for 500 GB I invest $10 more for another 500 GB.

My parents are going to place the order tomorrow. Oh, and it's with free shipping too.

Netflix already has a buncha subscribers on XBox Live. Only a matter of time. Weird thing was that my family was talkin about ripoff channels, like HBO.

A Terabyte? Check all options quickly and take it! :D

Did you let them know about the Terabyte special?

There's now a 2 TB for the same price, except it's slower and uses an outlet for power.

And yes I told them it. I even told them the 2 TB drive.

IMO, it's worth slower speed and power cord for another whopping 1 TB. And better yet, since delivery is free, it's returnable if it sucks for a better product.

I like how I went from picking 320 GB to 2 TB.

I dunno. A lot of machines go slow on me, so I dunno if I'd go for the 2 TB. However, it is a HUGE amount of space......

I know, right? You're havin a lucky streak.

Lately the solutions to all my problems have been determined by flipping a coin.

My sister flipped a coin to determine whether I should take 1 TB or 2 TB. Heads was 1 TB, tails was 2 TB. The toss yielded Tails.

What is happening to my life?

So, often, you feel like callin Lady Luck and askin her for a kiss, huh?

You're becomin a Gambit user, that's what.

I lied... The 2 TB drive is actually not slower than the 1 TB.

I feel like I'm stealing candy from a baby... I mean this is so freaking cheap...

Seriously? Take that bavy and gift-wrap it to yourself! No joke, cuz THAT is a present from you, to you!

The Blockbuster near me has shut down, too.

It's slowly dying, mainly because of Netflix and Gamefly.

Blockbuster has to wait to have their movies/games rentable MONTHS after they came out. Netflix/Gamefly get their movies/games in stock the exact date they are released, so they're more dependable. They offer better deals, too. With Gamefly, which I have, you are able to rent Gamecube, PS2, PSP, GBA, DS, 3DS, PS3, XBOX 360, XBOX, and Wii games, and all you have to do is pay a monthly fee. I don't remember the exact price, but it's not expensive.

Also, I don't have Netflix, but I have a friend who does.

As for SoR, I really didn't play that game when I was little. Tried it on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3. I suck at it, man. Any advice?

I told chillbro. Now he owes me 5 bucks! Lol.

Knew it.

Really? Everyone's tellin me to get Gamefly, but I just ignored em. Maybe I should consider it.

Same here.

Yeah. Always throw enemies, except for the fat guys that come later on in SoR2 and SoR3. They will flatten you. Also, don't pick up the Knife. It is a REALLY slow weapon to attack with.

^I've never ever seen a GC, original Xbox, or any handheld games at blockbuster. Also, they probably don't have any PS2 games since I haven't been there in a couple years and the PS2 is practically dead.

I have. Definite-retros.

I doubt it, too. So long, PS2.

*Scratch that, I've seen GC games there, but not original Xbox.

Also, blockbuster is a ripoff. The price of renting one game there for 5 days is a 3rd of the monthly price for renting one game at a time from Gamefly.

Lol.

Like I said, Gamefly's better than Blockbuster.

The 2 TB drive has been ordered. My parents take it as my birthday gift (with my birthday in 2 months...) so the price is split. So I pay $40 and they pay $40. The package is expected to arrive tomorrow afternoon.

I also get 2000 index cards for the crap I mentioned in the last post (AP Psychology).

Now my next order of business is to figure out what items I have demand 2 TB..........

If it's your B-Day gift, then why are you pay- Never mind.

Terabytes seem endless.

Also I'm planning on making my school work electronic. In this tedious process, I'll be running every side of each sheet of paper I used in school through a scanner.

Because this is a new process, like some things, there's a lot of junk to process the first time. In this case, I have 2 boxes, roughly 5 cubic feet in volume, full of paper (starting 9th grade). This rounds the total to 5,000 pieces of paper (so 10,000 sides) of scanning.

The purpose of this idea is to keep all schoolwork from the years but at the same time eliminate the giant stack of papers in the house. What do you think?

(With the new hard drive, I don't need to worry about disk space considering each sheet of paper weighs 24 MB.)

Someone's been watchin the Jetsons. XD

Scanner work, huh? Seems simple enough to me, at least. At least with the results. You can keep your educational work records, so yeah.

Heavy.

^Tis a shame when you have to pay for your own gift.

It is, right?

^I usually get crap for my birthday, so the fact that I get this with a parental discount makes it entirely worth it.

I actually did not get anything on my last birthday, now that I think about it.

With this gift, I don't need to complain to my dad that there's no space on the 1 TB drive. So this is one of the greatest gifts ever. And at a cheap price too.

True.

Same here.

So cheap!

^Meanwhile, I haven't run out of space as far as I know. WAIT. NO MORE SPACE. Gotta delete stuff... *deletes a bunch of things* what.. "Windows is missing system32"? Ahh...

Lulz.

Next thing you know, petabyte drives will have come.

(1 PB = 1024 TB)

I've heard only as far as terabytes. I've never heard of petabytes.

Only sites like Google and Yahoo have petabytes. The next thing after that is EB, which I think is exabyte (it follows the metric prefixes). As far as I know, there is no such thing as an EB in existence as of now. But if you had a EB drive, I'm sure 100 generations could use that drive as a backup.

--------

Anyway, I got the 2 TB drive. I'm yet to plug it in, format it (to make sure it's clean) and then start shoving in files. I paid the $40, so it's for ONLY ME to use. Muahahahahaha!!!!

Like I said, I'm just out of the loop for anythin past terabytes, so thanks for the info.

For your own B-day present; the 1st 1 since 2 years. But I digress. Lol; jk.

I bet Newgrounds has like 20 TB of total space in its servers.

Assuming each day NG loses 1 GB of space, they have a long way to go before facing server space issues.

I'm guessin 18. Lol.

True dat. Even so, the server slowin down could be a problem.

http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/f dafe7feb08b8118fbe45f226981d0fd

Why is the capacity always less than the amount in the box?

19 TB missin. Always an exaggeration when ads show these kinds of thing.
