I wonder what it would be like if they made a Sonic based Streets of Rage game.

Doubt it'd go far. Sonic's way too hyper for that.

I feel so old, for playing my Playstation 2 and Gamecube. :p

Im NEVER going to sell those, even if my life depended on it :D

Lol.

Same here. My PS2 is my electronic child. XD

Hmm...I've been fooling around with the ePSXe emulator and I got Mega Man 8 to work.

I've got a problem though. You probably don't know the answer, but in the Mega Man 8 folder there was a bin file and a cue file. So I extracted them, loaded up the bin file, and it worked fine. However, sometimes in the game folders there's a bunch of mp3 files and no bin or cue file and I don't know what to tell the emulator to load up. I only ever have this problem with ISOS, and never Roms.

This sounds like a job for SMBS...too bad he doesn't use emulators.

Try askin the user 51430. He's experienced with emulators and homebrews.

And I'm 100% HIV positive that It says I'm downloading the game, not the soundtrack.

A dilemma.........

You mean GB, not TB. Make sure to get your units straight! That was an absolute mindfuck on my part.

For every drive/SD card I have bought, the amount is always less than the advertised amount. 1 TB drive yields 946 GB, 1 GB USB drive yield 960 MB, and such. I guess it's how the device is built, such that it's impossible to precisely hit 2.00 TB.

------

Speaking of Gamecube, I actually took out Sonic Colors out of my Wii and popped in Sonic Heroes. It was an absolute blast I say, even though the game is like 7 years old. I started a new file (since I already beat the game) just to replay the whole thing.

Oops! My bad. ^_^;

I wish ads would be more accurate.

Heh. I still only have 2 Chaos Emerals on my Sonic Heroes file. :P

Nevermind. I found a PSX iso site that has all it's downloads like the Mega Man 8 one. The only thing is it's missing a couple games(like Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro).

In case I wanna check this site out, can you give me the URL?

One game I am looking for is FIFA 05, and I'm only downloading it because it was the last PS1 game ever(like how I downloaded Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 due to it being the last N64 game).

FIFA 05? Hm.

I think my friend has Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 & 4 for PS2.

http://www.psisozone.com/browse/psx-i sos/

It doesn't have all the PS1 games, but it has most of them.

Btw, if you download Metal Gear, here's a tip:

After extracting all the files from it's folder(there's like 9001 in there), delete all but one of the files. Then click on the only one left(hope you have winrar) and extract the 4 files in there. Then delete the only file of the original 9001 files left. That saves you nearly a gigabyte of space and you should only have the 4 files from the last of the original 9001 files.

I don't know what I just said.

I see. Thanks for the URL.

I really hope you're jokin about that 9001 files thing. XD

With most of the rest of the games, there'll only be 1 file in the game's folder. After extracting that, extract the 2 files from inside the 1 file then delete the original folder and the 1 file that was in that folder to save some space.

Thanks. I'll remember that.

Well 18...not 9001

Phew.

Well that's just great. Each PSX iso I download(no matter what site) takes up half a gigabyte...and I only have 10 gigabytes left(deleted a shitload of stuff).

You know what's weird? The n64 version of Duke Nukem 3d takes up 7 MB but the PSX version takes up 400 MB...

Damn, that's heavy.

Must be more files for the PSX.

Looking at all my games, all the other ones besides PS1 take up just one gigabyte. And PSX is the only disc based console I have an emulator for(unless you count the Sega CD, but that's with the Genesis emulator and I only downloaded Sonic CD anyways). CURSE YOU PLAYSTATION AND YOUR DISCS.

Hm.

*all the other ones besides ps1 take up one gigabyte combined, and that includes n64

I see.

Which is strange considering PS2 games were larger than PS1 games and PS2 memory cards are only 8 mb...

So glad it was expanded for the later gen game systems.

PS2 memory never made sense to me. My memory card was 8 MB yet I had a game that was like 9000 KB(which is almost 9 mb)

No PS2 game should have memory over 2-4 MB. How is that possible?

Not sure. But yeah it was over 9000 KB.

No pun intended.

Some systems and games just don't make sense when it comes to server space.

Then again, it makes sense that they take up more space than the real thing.
1. The computer wasn't originally designed to play those games, so it might be harder for it to play it and therefore it takes up more memory.
2. Emulators just emulate those games to make it seem like you're playing it. Therefore you aren't playing the real game.
3. CD games might make it harder for the computer to use it (I.E. Duke Nukem 3d on N64 takes up about 6 or 7 MB while the PSX version takes up about 400).

Also, don't download Mega Man X3 from that PSX site. It's just a mess of folders and I couldn't figure out what to do, and it's worth saving half a gigabyte over an animated intro. Just download the SNES version.

True.

Uh-Huh.

Makes sense.

Reminds me of when I tried to download Street Fighter Alpha. I don't even wanna remember that. -__-'

Yeah. Save yourself some space and download the SNES version of SFA2.

For the other 2, you'll have to rely on the Saturn or PS1 for Alpha 1, and the Dreamcast or PS1 for Alpha 3. Other than that, look for Capcom collections.

Also, it's better to use Dreamcast or Saturn for them. The PS1 has had a history of having the worst Capcom arcade ports(most notably X-Men Vs Street Fighter).

I can't even stand the music. I'll avoid that, but thanks for the suggestion.

I've got Alpha 3 for GBA, but it's not exactly the same.

Lol.

Oh yeah, when I said I had downloaded Sonic CD, I was lying.

That got me thinking though, so I downloaded it yesterday. It's pretty cool.

Remember that one issue with 9001 mp3 files and no bin file I brought up? Well it had 9001 mp3 files, but also a bin file. Also, if you can't get MAME to work, get the Sega CD version. The SNES version was censored like fuck.

Downloading Night Trap...I'm ashamed.

Then why say it? -__-'

My father's MAME worked for me back then. Now whern I figure out how to download MAME, it doesn't come out well.

I've been playing Night Trap.

My God, it's terrible. But it's so terrible it's good. Just like The Room.
